Describe a work of art that would give you total aesthetic and emotional satisfaction.

“A person flying above clouds with ease, there arms wide above their head, so high that it is as if they are in a void, with no earth below.”

“An ocean landscape in northern Ireland with a tempest brewing that will not eventuate. Wet green hills rise up away from the ocean, there is only one building in the landscape, an empty cottage. The cottage is not abandoned though, it’s like there is a family living there. Everything just waits for them, there’re photos of them on the wall. The photos are old but have been taken recently.”

“A goal in football.”

“An installation of two dimensional images that are projected around the audiences body, hundreds of images come drifting towards or away, expand contract change colour, from all directions. You can pass through the images and they pass through you. Somehow there is an organicness and logic that is specific to each individual. Some of the images are real, some bizarre, some just colour, all the images constantly evolve and change” There is nothingness beyond the images, a black void.”

“A still life painting above my bed, flowers, yellow red and blue, peaceful”

THE ABOVE PERSON WENT ON TO DESCRIBE ANOTHER:

“A machine that can give you the experience of being somewhere without needing to travel. At first this was more about food, specifically, giving a Nigerian person a sample of what the supposedly amazing English fish and chips taste like instead of them risking all to try and live in the UK. This developed into a machine that would stop people believing in or expose the lies behind the many myths of “streets paved with gold” in various western metropolis. Later it became a little less political and just fun, going to the beach, escaping drudgery etc,”

“A performance where the participant is actually within the action, in a site specific setting. They are some how and actual character in the narrative, during the performance they are lead to experience many things in a highly visceral way, every sense is stimulated or engaged, not in abvious or blunt ways though. The whole work is carefully crafted and delivered with skill and authenticity.”

“A man sits alone on a small tropical island surounded by a vast blue coral ocean water, a huge sky above the island, a few clouds and the sun is heading towards sunset.”

“A sun like light at the centre of a vast space, the light source is in part obscured by

“The expression of a young boy when he meets a young girl he desires (specifically the feeling inside him that is visible to others).”

“An installation in which the audience can interact with the objects and performers, everything appears normal but through being encouraged to explore they realize nothing is what it seems all the objects can be contorted as if made of rubber but even more flexible. A cupboard somehow is dismantled or reformed as a lanscape.”

“Swan Lake.”

"Like the sea, dangerous and beautiful with emotion. It would have to have music with it. Some kind of drama going on, with love and loss, with dramatic music, maybe a couple that are going to be torn apart by the sea. Genearally not a happy ending. For the good of everyone else they give up there love. The audience is at there too in the water warching the couple"

"Made of, not stainless steel, cheapish silver, big, life size. It's representative of a woman but not exactly the same. Has curves, made up of two large circles, flowing out and finding a roundishness but not circular. In some places it's been polishes, but parts are still rough, even where polished (even wher it's been buffed you see the inperfections). It would be in a public place, it would be required to be touched and interacted with. Ideally the plynth would be made out of china, something stong enough, like fire but an unglazed china clay."

"A resonating stone at the centre with Amanda Calais breathing in and out towards it as evnetually beginning to sing. Different sounds coming from different spaces, gutar from one direction, drone from another, sound of indistinct voices, all this mixed together. It would be in a round concrete room, so you could modulate the sound levels. Interesting if it was in totally darkness, so there's nothing to distract you. You'd be able top move around so you could modulat teh different sounds your self. It's somewhere between heaven and hell. There would be different smells: chocolate, rain and the city. The rain smells like nature an intense nature. "
